We are women in STEM
​
MU Women in STEM is a student organization at the University of Missouri that was established in October 2016. Our organization allows women in the STEM fields on our campus to engage with each other and support each other through challenges that we face. We aim to create a positive environment for women in STEM on our campus and to equip them with the skills to be successful post-graduation. Additionally, we work within the Columbia community to begin exposing women to the STEM fields at an early age.

About EC4Mizzou:
EC4Mizzou is a project that began in 2023. The mission of this project is for every student at Mizzou to have access to the resources that they need to make informed decisions regarding their reproductive health. The goal of this project is to destigmatize safe sexual practices, emphasize consent, foster a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ students and students of color, and remove unnecessary barriers between college students and emergency contraceptives. In the state of Missouri, abortion is currently outlawed under nearly all circumstances, making preventative work even more crucial. EC4Mizzou is a student-run project operated solely by me and is not affiliated with the University of Missouri.
Handing out Plan B is also a very easy, important, and fun way to gain service hours for students involved in organizations with mandatory service requirements.

How it Works:
During passing time, we will each take a bundle of Plan B boxes and hand them to students on their way to class. This may sound intimidating, but students get very excited, and we always have a very fun time!
Our first Plan B distribution of the semester will be in Speaker's Circle on August 23rd from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Sign up with the form below!

If you are a student who is involved in a separate reproductive justice organization on campus and would like free Plan B, condoms, or emergency contraceptive kits for an event, please reach out to me and I will deliver these resources to you.
